STRONG COMMUNITIES. STRONG CITY.
Over the last four years I’ve worked with you to build and protect affordable housing, improve our parks, greenspaces and road safety, and keep each other safe during the pandemic. Together, we’ve built vibrant and inclusive communities, empowered by local voices.
But there’s more to do.
Our City faces significant challenges. From addressing financial pressures caused by the pandemic and ensuring a fair recovery, to Doug Ford’s continued push to take power away from citizens - the next term of Council will be pivotal in shaping our future as a city and as a community.
The pandemic has left Toronto with massive financial pressures, and we know there are some who will try to use this as an excuse to cut public services. Premier Ford is rushing through legislation to increase his influence at City Hall, granting the Mayor more powers that can only be used to support “provincial priorities”. Inflation and growing costs are making life less and less affordable for so many in our city. We need our community to stand together to fight for all that we’ve built and the progress we know is needed.
Along with your voices and fresh ideas, we need experienced progressive leadership at City Hall now more than ever. I am running for re-election to be here for you as we stand up for our community, ensuring no one is left behind.
