Is my donation tax deductible?

Donations are not income tax-deductible. However, donations over $25 may be eligible for a direct rebate from the City of TorontoFor donations made online, you’ll receive a confirmation email within a few minutes of your transaction. Official receipts/forms for all donations will be mailed after the election. You would then mail a completed form to the City and the City then sends cheques to eligible donors. For more information on the City of Toronto rebate program, please visit this City website.


Yes, you can make a cheque payable to "Paula Fletcher Campaign" and mail it to 42 Riverdale Avenue, Toronto, ON M4K 1C3.  Please make sure the donor's name is clearly indicated on the cheque. 

There is a $1,200 limit that applies to contributions from other individuals. If a person makes more than one contribution (for example, contributes money, contributes goods, and purchases
a ticket to a fundraising event), the total value of all the contributions cannot exceed $1,200.

The maximum total amount that a contributor can give to candidates in the same jurisdiction (for example, running for the same council or for the same school board) is $5,000.

The Paula Fletcher Campaign can accept contributions only from individuals who are residents of Ontario. Corporations and trade unions are not permitted to make contributions to candidates.
Groups such as clubs, associations or ratepayer’s groups are not eligible to make contributions. The members of these groups may make individual contributions from their personal funds (as
long as they are residents of Ontario).
